Peer Review Process
Suara Edukasi Hukum only publishes manuscripts that strictly comply with the journal’s author guidelines and manuscript formatting standards.
Upon submission, each manuscript is first evaluated by the Managing Editor to ensure it meets the journal’s basic requirements in terms of scope, formatting, and ethical standards. Manuscripts that pass this initial screening are forwarded to the Editorial Board, who will assign them to two peer reviewers with expertise in the relevant subject area.
To ensure a consistent and objective evaluation, Suara Edukasi Hukum uses a standardized review form that guides reviewers to assess manuscripts based on:
-
Originality and novelty
-
Clarity and coherence of presentation
-
Theoretical and/or practical contribution to legal studies
After receiving the reviewers’ comments, the Editorial Board will make one of the following editorial decisions:
-
Accepted as is
-
Accepted with Minor Revisions
(Authors are required to make minor corrections within a specified timeframe) -
Accepted with Major Revisions
(Manuscript must be substantially revised and resubmitted for re-evaluation) -
Rejected
(Common reasons: out of scope, significant technical flaws, or unclear presentation)
Plagiarism Screening
All submitted manuscripts are screened for plagiarism using Turnitin. The maximum allowable similarity index is 30%. If a manuscript exceeds this threshold or shows indications of plagiarism, it will be automatically rejected by the Editorial Board.
